This was our second stay at these villas and although the price was higher than last year, it was worth every cent. In fact, last year's prices were way below what these villas are worth. The villa we stayed in had a beautiful private pool with attached jacuzzi, an idyllic outside bathroom with sunken bath, fish pond and rainfall shower and a beautiful bale beside the pool where I spent lazy afternoons just relaxing or reading,before getting ready to go out to dinner. The villas are beautiful and secluded and everyone in the compound is so gracious,from the office staff to the pool attendants. They also speak good English and whenever I had a query, they went out of their way to be of assistance. I,for one,am happy that there is a new management team at the Zen because the staff are now beautifully dressed and the resort is absolutely five star. I disagree with one of the previous poster's who said that the Zen is of a similar standard to other villas in the area, it is definitely a cut above the rest and the charges are extremely reasonable.If anyone is looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway, but still very accessable to the bars, restaurants and shopping of Sanur, I would certainly recommend Zen. I will definitely be returning and recommending this resort to friends and family.

| Overall: We have just returned from a family holiday- 10 nights split into 2 lots of 5 nights a piece. Spent 5 nights at Zen Bali Villas in Sanur which was very good. 3 brm villa for AUD $160 night, private pool and spa, great a/c, great facilities in villa and central. Then travelled north to Sambirenteng- Villas Agung Bali Nirwana. 5 nights in sheer bliss, again a 3 brm villa. Remote, tranquil, luxurious and well equipped. Bali continues to be a great destination for our family. Stocked up on the kids clothes/shoes and enjoyed good food and good weather. |

Stayed at these Villas for 5 nights in May 2007. They were perfect! Each villa has its own plunge pool. Our pool was larger than most and had a jacuzzi as well. The villas are very comfortable and beautifully fitted out.
While it is a bit of a walk to the main street we enjoyed the inter-action with the locals. At night we took a torch as there isn't much street lighting.
Staff were always smiling and very helpful. They will drop you at the beach in Sanur if you ask.
Just stayed at the Zen Villas in Sanur (Oct 07) and it was just wonderful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with bedrooms ensuited and with king beds. Quite spacious living area with outside dining area as well. There is a water cooler in the kitchen and there were 3 air conditioners. 1 in each bedroom and one in the lounge room area. The villa was very private and ours was behind a gated wall. The gardens are beautifully kept and the staff extreemly helpfull. There is security on the entrance gate 24/7. The Zen is hard to find with a left, right, left, right, right down narrow lane way. It would be best to get the Villa to arrange the airport transfer as our taxi took 20 min once we reached jln Kessari to find the place. Although advertised, there are no hair dryers in the villa and reception did not have any. Its a 5 min walk from the main road but the sanctury that lies within is well worth it. We found it great value for money, given the size of the villa and with your own private pool. I believe the 3 bed villas have a larger pool than the others. For those who know Sanur, its located almost behind the Hardy's supermarket. I can highly recommend this wonderful relaxing place.....Wendy
We stayed at Zen villas earlier this year in April. We had originally booked in at Ellora villas which were beautiful but much more expensive. We decided to look for alternate accomodation after staying at Ellora for 6 days. We found Zen and were very happy there for 4 days. We wanted our own pool (not a plunge pool) and one bedroom. (Some of the villas have only plunge pools). They locked one of the bedrooms. The living area is quite large and the air condioners work well. It is well back from the main road. Breakfast is not provided ( NOW AVAILABLE ) and your rooms are cleaned daily.
We found Zen to be good value for money and the staff friendly.
The nice part about these villas is that you are walled only by plants which allows for a breeze.
